PRIDE: Our untold stories of women's football

Join us for a wonderful night of fine food and inspirational guest speakers as we celebrate the contribution of LGBTIQA+ women to women’s football.

The Darebin Falcons is the only standalone women's Club in the VFL. This means we do not have the backing of the powerful AFL men's Clubs. We choose to stand alone as women, and to respect our Club's history.

The Falcons have fielded women's football teams since 1990. Back then, women's footy was largely invisible. So too were LGBTIQA+ women. Falcons' women have helped make the invisible visible, magnified now with the emergence of the AFLW.

Our extraordinary speakers have all played parts in this transformation. We are honoured to welcome you as we share their stories - stories of community, belonging, and breaking down taboos. Stories of PRIDE.

This is an opportunity not to be missed! Places are extremely limited.

Sal Rees, Founding Falcon and her story of the 1995 AFL draft
